The bottom line is the GLOW system puts very little between your music and your ears. Minimalist circuit design, very few gain stages, no complicated crossovers. Amp One:"Dear Glow folks, I've been building my own tube amps for guitars for years, and own a 1978 McIntosh MC2300 that I've had since it was new, but I have to admit your Glow Amp One might just be the best sounding tube amp I\'ve ever heard, the 5th harmonic distortion is so smooth and balanced that it really reproduces the original content of the input better than even my beloved McIntosh, and at a great price. I had to open her up and take a look, and all I can say is that your manufacturing techniques are first class,and the wiring is top notch. Love the \'rolling\' tube bias circuit control, very similar to the Marshall systems of the mid \70's Plexi guitar amps that you have to love. Just thought I\'d share."

Amp One: "I'm flabbergasted by the Amp One I purchased at the Montreal FSI festival. I\'m using those beautiful, glowing little pentodes to drive my monstrous 105 db Klipsch Lascalas. The sound really is addictive. What I find incredible is that when I listen to my music late at night, I\'m constantly slightly turning the volume down yet still hearing levels of detail I\'d never heard before. "My wife wanted a small, compact system that wouldn't take up half the living room.I convinced her to try the GLOW tube amp. I was pleasantly surprised, shocked actually, that with a Velodyne subwoofer tucked behind the sofa and smallish B&W speakers, the sound is so much noticeably better than with my old amp. It plays more than loud enough for us, at moderate sound levels a very rich and full sound, none of the detail is lost. There is definitely something to this tube sound! "Wow, Wow, and Wow!!!!! Right out of the box I plugged in my iPod (Line out thru the charging station stand) with Mahler\'s 1st (very quiet passage). The clarity, detail, and quality is unbelievable. I hear the sound of bass bow on the gut strings (a sound only musicians know to listen for) the acoustic air in the Concert gebouw itself, a noisy key on the clarinet on a certain note, low level parts I have not heard before, like a super quiet bass drum note in the first few minutes of the movement ... shall I go on? "I bought the Amp One because I thought it might make a good amp for a second system. I never thought for a second that it would replace my primary amp, which weighs 47 lbs, cost over $4,000 and puts out over 100 watts per channel with 0.003 THD. It is the state of the art, a complex A/B class A hybrid design, with a J-FET input stage, MOSFET driver stage, and bipolar output stage. Surely the minimalist little GLOW amp couldn\xe2\x80\x99t match this magnificently designed behemoth. But putting the GLOW amp to the test the past few weeks, I am left flabbergasted. I am not prepared to say that it will replace my main amp, because I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that possibility, but based on what I am hearing, it just might. It has emotional impact, even if it cannot match my previous solid state amp in sheer dynamic output. I listen to music on the GLOW amp for hours, without tinkering with the settings or thinking about the equipment. I realize that with my solid state amp, I was fretting way too much about the quality of the recordings, the position of the speakers, my cables. it seemed from one recording to the next, the sound needed additional tweaking.
